John Marchio, Director

John Marchio was born in Bangkok, Thailand and raised in the military traveling both abroad and domestically. John settled in Fayette County, WV where he graduated from Mount Hope High School in 1991. John received his Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Marshall University in 1996. After graduating, John joined the United States Army Reserves specializing in EPW with the Military Police. John served 8 years and was honorably discharged from the Army in November 2005. John then worked at FCX Systems in Morgantown, WV as a Field Service Manager. In 2002, he took a position with the WV Division of Corrections as a Correctional Officer at Lakin Correctional Facility for Women. In 2003, John was promoted to a Correctional Counselor II and worked with the segregated population. In 2005, John transferred to Robert Shell Juvenile Center as a Correctional Counselor II and assisted in the opening of the center. John has since been promoted to Case Manager, Unit Manager and now currently the Facility Director.
